Storm Aftermath
What the property looked like in the hours and days after a neighbour’s tree came down across the line. These are the owner’s own photographs, in the order they were taken.
What you are looking at
The tree was rotted at the base. It fell across the property line, landed the length of the attached garage and drove into the two-story wall of the house beside it. The garage went down with two vehicles inside it. The photographs run from the afternoon of March 13 through to March 26, when the last car was finally pulled clear.
Then it snowed. Several of these were taken with sleet coming down on an open structure — which is why the emergency tarping and the temporary heat show up in the receipts.

Where it went from here
Demolished and cleared
What was left of the garage came down in a controlled demolition. The slab and the block perimeter are still in place, waiting on the rebuild.
Wall opened, wrapped
The wall the garage tore away from has been sheathed and wrapped. It has stayed that way through the summer.
Damaged sections
The strike marked shingles on all four slopes, tore the eave and displaced two runs of gutter.
